Is this only for AC chargers?
Yes. This service is focused on commercial AC chargepoints. DC rapid and ultra-rapid chargers are outside the current scope.
Is this the same as an EICR?
No. This is a focused inspection of the chargepoint and its accessible associated protection. It does not replace an EICR of the wider electrical installation.
Do you sell or install replacement chargers?
No. ChargePointExpert does not sell new charger installations. Your report can be provided to your existing electrician or preferred competent contractor.
Can every RCD or RCBO be tested?
Testing depends on safe access, the installation design, site permissions and the ability to interrupt the charging equipment. Any device that cannot be safely accessed or tested is recorded as a limitation.
How often should AC EV chargers be inspected?
There is no single interval suitable for every site. Frequency should reflect usage, environmental exposure, manufacturer guidance, previous defects and site risk. Your report includes a suggested future inspection interval.
Is cleaning included?
Light external cleaning is included. Heavy staining, graffiti removal, hazardous contamination and specialist cleaning are outside the standard scope.
